A made-to-order suite in Tahitian "peacock" pearls: a Wish pendant cradling a 9 mm black-green pearl in 14K yellow gold with a princess-cut blue sapphire, worn with 14K yellow-gold inside-out hoops that set two matched 9 mm black-green pearls behind 52 pavé blue sapphires (1.55 ct). Pearl color, metal and accent stones were all chosen to taste.
Tahitian pearls earn the nickname "peacock" for a reason: under the light their dark bodies throw off green, gold and aubergine, the same restless color you see in a peacock's tail. This suite was commissioned to make that color the whole story, then framed with cool blue sapphires so the warmth of the gold and the depth of the stones play off one another. Because it was configured on our site, the wearer settled every choice — the pearl's tone, the karat and color of the gold, and the accent gems — before a single piece was made.

The Sapphire Hoop Earrings
Inside-out hoops — the sapphires face the viewer as the hoop turns.
The companion hoops carry the same warm metal as the pendant. Two matched 9 mm black-green Tahitian pearls sit at the base of 14K yellow-gold hoops, and because the hoops are made "inside-out," the pavé runs along the inner face — so 52 round blue sapphires, 1.55 carats in all, throw light straight at anyone looking at you.
