The Oldest Pearl in the World Discovered

The oldest pearl in the world was recently discovered on a island in the Persian Gulf according to Abu Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism . Scientists estimate that the pearl is 8,000 years old as reported by the Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism. You can learn more about the history of pearls here. The island that the pearl was discovered on was the Marawah Island which is located off the coast near Abu Dhabi. The pearl is named the Abu Dhabi Pearl and is 3.3mm long by .3 centimeters. The Neolithic Period is the last period of the well known Stone Age.
