Natural white Japanese Akoya pearl strands placed in the highest quality category by the Pearl Science Laboratory in Tokyo — undyed, and each sold with its own numbered PSL certificate.

The Pearl Science Laboratory (PSL) in Tokyo is Japan’s best-known independent pearl lab. Its highest quality category for Akoya pearls is given only to strands that meet the lab’s criteria for nacre thickness, brightness, interference color and surface. Every strand here is natural white — PSL testing confirmed no staining or dyeing — and ships with its own numbered certificate, which you can see in the photos on each product page.
Most Akoya pearls are lightly pinked after harvest. These are not: their white body color is natural, and the PSL certificate says so.
Each strand is strung on double-stranded silk thread, every clasp has a safety, and if you choose a shorter length we give you the extra pearls back.
