This 8mm AA quality Japanese Akoya cultured pearl earring has a blue bodycolor with a slight rose overtone. Harvested from the same oyster that cultured white Japanese Akoya cultured pearls, this peculiar blue bodycolor is achieved by implanting a bluish sliver of the mantle tissue found inside the oyster along with the mother-of-pearl bead implant that initiates the culturing process.
